  15. <p>     INJURED. Ed Koch, 66, former mayor of New York City, by a
  16. stone thrown at him as he strolled with Mayor Teddy Kollek
  17. through Jerusalem's walled Old City. Koch, who later went to a
  18. hospital and had nine stitches to close his head wound, insisted
  19. on finishing his walking tour, saying, "I wasn't going to let
  20. these bastards, these thugs, have their way." The ex-mayor was
  21. on a trip to Israel to boost tourism, which has declined because
  22. of the gulf crisis and increasing Arab-Israeli violence.
